Background
Late Shri. Bhaskar Tukaram Borhade, a visionary born in the drought-prone district of Ahmednagar Maharashtra in an ordinary peasant family shouldered the responsibility of the family at an early age. He was determined and committed to hard work. Working initially as a helper, a waiter, a hawker, a layman in his early life, he acquired artisan skills from his father Tukaramji Borhade. After graduating from Bytco College Nashik he started the Goldsmithy business in 1975 by the name ‘ Laxmi Alankar’. On the strong base of honesty, hard work, humility, and service the business grew faster. Mrs. Vimal Borhade wife of Mr. Bhaskar Borhade supported him eagerly from the other end.
In 1989 Bhaskarrao started another firm especially dealing in silver ornaments by the name ‘Vimal Alankar’. Unfortunately, in 1996 these two firms suffered a heavy loss due to decoity. Everything was shattered and the future seemed to be miserable. But Bhaskarrao decided to fight back again and to set right the business once more with the help of his two sons, elder Shekhar and younger Tushar. He taught them the skills of jewelry making.
Goldsmithy and Jewelry had been our family lineage business for several decades. Every presiding generation acquired the skills from their ancestors.
Responding to the clarion call of our Hon’ble Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, we decided to eagerly participate in the ‘Make In India’ campaign. Therefore, we registered a Startup in the name of ‘SuvarnShilp India Private Limited’ in 2020. Since then, we have carried out extensive research in the field and have come up with innovative solutions. We have set up a small-scale manufacturing unit ate Kolhar, which engages itself in the comprehensive manufacturing of Gold, Silver, and imitation jewelry ornaments all under one roof, using advanced methods and techniques. Our endeavor has substantially reduced the production cost and has enhanced the quality with profitability.
